Career Opportunities available after Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS) Course

Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS) is a 5.5 Years Undergraduate course (4-years Academic Study + 1-Year of Mandatory Internship). The BNYS course can be done after PUC or 10+2.  The BNYS course basically deals with Naturopathy and Yogic Science and techniques. 

Ayurvedic Practitioner: Roles and Responsibilities

  • The ayurvedic practitioners are responsible to have in-depth knowledge of all the ayurvedic practices and medicines that are essential for healthy living. 
  • The ayurvedic practitioners are required to assess the patient’s health condition and prescribe the accurate medicine and treatments.
  • The ayurvedic practitioners should have a wide variety of treatment skills related to ayurvedic and herbal medicine and traditional treatment techniques. 
  • The ayurvedic practitioners are also responsible to evaluate the health conditions and provide treatment accordingly. 
  • The ayurvedic practitioners are also considered as ayurvedic physicians as they will assess the patient’s condition in order to provide accurate treatments.
  • The ayurvedic practitioners are required to arrange consultations with patients and provide ayurvedic treatments
  • The ayurvedic practitioners are responsible to conduct screening and diagnostic tests to reveal the exact health issues
  • The ayurvedic practitioners are expected to restore patients to good health by administering or suggesting interventions such as massage, mindfulness, ayurvedic and homeopathic substances
  • The ayurvedic practitioners are also responsible to Inform patients about the functions of each treatment
  • The ayurvedic practitioners are expected to monitor and evaluate the implications of treatments
  • The ayurvedic practitioners are expected to understand the specific health condition of the patients by conducting 60-90 minutes consultations

Yoga Instructor: Roles and Responsibilities

  • As a Yoga Instructor, one is responsible to conduct yoga classes for the participants and teach them various asanas and help them to lead a healthy lifestyle.
  • The Yoga instructors are expected to possess an in-depth knowledge of yogic health and wellness. 
  • The instructors are responsible to develop healthy lifestyle among the people and help them to stay physically fit by teaching them different asanas of Yoga by conducting and leading yoga sessions
  • The yoga instructors are responsible to visually assess students to determine their level of practice
  • The yoga instructors are required to assist the students to achieve precise alignment
  • The yoga instructors are responsible to demonstrate practice and techniques of asanas
  • The yoga instructors are expected to possess the ability to move energy through the body
  • The yoga instructors are expected to motivate students with words on encouragement
  • The yoga instructors are responsible to offer training recommendations to improve the practice of yoga
  • The yoga instructors are required to help the students to lead a healthy lifestyle and help them to stay away from diseases and ailments

Earning Potential: 4 lakhs to 6 lakhs per annum.

Spa Therapist: Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Spa therapist is responsible to provide exact spa treatments for the customers. They should be aware of all the ayurvedic treatments and ensure to provide health and wellness for the spa customers.
  • The Spa Therapists are required to be aware of all the latest industry techniques with respect to massages and therapies to provide exceptional customer service. 
  • The Spa therapists  are required to demonstrate respectfulness, patience and tact to help guests feel more comfortable and at ease.
  • The Spa therapists are responsible to perform different types of massages beauty treatments and wellness therapies
  • The Spa therapists are responsible to maintain detailed records of massage, treatments and therapies performed on each spa guest
  • The Spa therapists are responsible to explain massages, treatments and therapies to guests and provide suitable recommendations as needed
  • The Spa therapists are expected to ensure that the spa is adequately stocked with spa supplies and report shortages if required
  • The Spa therapists are expected to be aware of all the ayurvedic treatments and ensure that proper treatment is given to guests

Earning Potential: 6 lakhs to 8 lakhs per annum

Herbal Therapist: Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Herbal Therapist is required to have a detailed knowledge of all ayurvedic medicines and ayurvedic treatments that are based on Herbal Medicare. 
  • The Herbal therapists treat the patients using plant-based remedies and other treatments and help them to achieve health and wellness. 
  • The Herbal therapists are expected to have in-depth skill of the ayurvedic medicines and treatments that are available in our traditional treatment methods.
  • The Herbal therapists are required to undertake patient consultations to diagnose illness and conditions and to select appropriate remedies
  • The Herbal therapists are required to gather information from patients about previous physical/medical history and symptoms
  • The Herbal therapists are responsible to conduct physical assessments on patients and also plan and explain the treatment requirements
  • The Herbal therapists are expected to provide advice about diet, exercise and lifestyle

Earning Potential: 6 lakhs to 8 lakhs per annum.
